Suddenly in darkness the Dragon woke,
From its long, charmed sleep.
With a terrible voice it declared,
Fury on the Argonauts!
Row, row Medea cried,
Row on my father’s swift!
Bent oars on churning foam,
Phasis- Here we come!
Orpheus! Play your mighty tune!
The mighty winds filled- the sails in vain,
Laborious oars, mighty as Troy.
Enmuffled by deathly fears,
Curses on Jason, Medea brought!
Slain his brother, wickedly ways;
Cursed witch, most hated of man!
From the Colchian fleet the fled,
Mighty as legends, the Argonauts flew,
But saddened hearts not escape,
The curse of mankind, sadness ruled.
